COMMITMENT TO DISTRICT 31

My decision to run is rooted in a lifelong commitment to service and a belief that District 31 and the state of North Dakota deserve strong, experienced, and tested leadership.

I believe District 31 and the state of North Dakota deserve strong, trusted, and proven decision-makers.  After years of service and real-world experience, I am ready to once again serve in a new capacity and work on behalf of the people of our district.

I believe the breadth and depth of my prior leadership experience coupled with a demonstrated strong work ethic has uniquely prepared me to well serve the people of District 31.  Much of my life’s work has centered around service to my nation and my community and I feel I am well suited to bring that experience to bear on the issues concerning our district and state.

Our surviving 2 children, their spouses and 4 grandchildren still all live in ND so this is yet another motivator to want to leverage my experience to keep our state a great place to live.

Agriculture

Agriculture is the backbone of District 31 and North Dakota’s economy. Kevin supports policies that protect farmers and producers facing tightening margins, maintain access to critical crop protection tools, and ensure agriculture remains competitive and sustainable for the next generation.

Infrastructure

Kevin understands that much of rural North Dakota’s infrastructure is aging and, in many cases, in varying degrees of disrepair due to limited funding over time. Roads, water systems, and other essential infrastructure require thoughtful, long-term planning. Kevin will work to address these challenges responsibly, prioritize critical needs, and improve infrastructure while being mindful of the burden placed on taxpayers.

Public Safety & Military Readiness

Public safety is a core responsibility of state government. Kevin believes law enforcement and the National Guard must be properly funded and equipped to respond to emergencies, support communities during disasters, and keep North Dakotans safe in both rural and urban areas.

Energy & Business Growth

A strong economy depends on a healthy energy sector and a business-friendly environment. Kevin supports responsible energy development, job creation, and policies that encourage investment while recognizing the critical role energy plays in powering North Dakota’s communities and economy.

Education

Strong communities depend on accountable, effective education systems. Kevin supports education that prepares students for real-world success, respects local decision-making, and uses taxpayer dollars responsibly. He believes education investments should focus on outcomes, workforce readiness, and long-term value for North Dakota families.
